Higher Quality of Camping with Safari Tents

When you travel or go camping, one of the essential things you need is a tent. We have temporary shelter tents which you can erect and collapse within minutes. These help people stay out of the sun or a light rain. However, here we see the different types of tents that we use on a more permanent basis and their utility value.

Tents with or without sidewalls

You choose the size of the tent depending on how many people need to share it. In some cases, you do not require sidewalls, as in the case of the tents for hosting celebrations or in the case of dome tents. But, when you go camping, you need strong sidewalls and cover for the floor too. Plus, for camping tents, if the terrain is rough and uneven you need to choose a weather sheet in addition to the groundsheet. This will help to preserve the groundsheet for a longer time.

Tents without sidewalls can be as small as the size of a room, as in the case of dome tents or it may stretch across several thousand square feet, such as in the case of a circus tent. The thickness of the fabric of the tent and the amount of support needed in the case of the smaller dome tent is lesser than that needed for the circus tent.

Need for the safari tent

People who go fishing and hunting, or just bird and animal watching, have a bigger need. They require a degree of comfort in their tents. To cater to this need, the tent makers came up with stronger frames and bigger floor space for the tents. One could classify these tents into three broad categories.

Safari tent: These tents declare the difference between sleeping in a sleeping bag and waking up with cramps and sleeping in comfort on a six-feet bed and waking up refreshed and ready to go. The idea with the Safari tents is to make them spacious enough to take up at least 4 or 5 beds.

Then, in the outer tent area, you can fix your removable shower and toilet. You need a ground area of about 400 square feet. Move a couple of beds in and you have living quarters without the worry of all the brick and masonry work.

The safari tents are more permanent than the camping tents, which you just roll and put into your rucksack before you move to a new campsite. The safari tents stay in one place for a long time, say for a couple of months. This is useful for researchers and scientists, not to mention the adventure lovers, who look for safe and comfortable living quarters in some nook in the jungle. You can get the exact details of the various types of the tents available from the safari tent suppliers in your locality.

Lodge tent: This is a house with canvas walls. Though not as big, you can fix just about anything, a veranda or a first floor, to your tent. The framework of the tent is necessarily more rigid and the roof is made of PVC and other light material.

Luxury tent: In the luxury tent, you have just about all the things you see in a normal home. Television, refrigerator, air conditioner, and just about anything else you want. The only difference is that the walls are not made of solid concrete and the entire structure can be dismantled and moved to a new location when you need.

Once you have the type of tent you need, you can set off to your camping destination and have fun. People have changed and so has the amenities and facilities. One only needs to look out for them, and you can have them.
