Batman Star Barry Keoghan has talked about the super-range role as a joker in the latest DC film.
As a fan that has seen the film will now know, at the end of the new Riddler film (Paul Dano) sitting in a prison cell where he spoke with another mysterious prisoner, who talked about “clowns” and made a bad Cackle.
While since it has since been confirmed as a Joker, Koghan has now violated his silence, acknowledging that while he “could not discuss it”, he was a big fan of director of the film.
“All I can say is a joy to work with Matt [Reeves] and [Producer] Dylan Clark in the film. That’s all,” he told Esquire.
He also praised working with Dano in his scene, added: “Paul is – I am a big fan of Paul. He’s fine. I also witnessed all the films, like prisoners and things like that. People say we are somewhat similar.”
Keoghan continued to admit that he had not seen the extra scene that has been filmed Reeves for his character which should have emerged before in the film – the director revealed to IGN that it ended up on the floor of the cut room.
Speaking more about this film, he said: “[Reeves] brilliant, human. Matt Reeves and Dylan Clark especially and together amazing for me – really amazing for me.
“And, you know, being part of Batman Universe is [big deal for me]. I’m a fan of these films, and especially Batman Universe. So to be in that world, I still clamped myself.
“He’s a filmmaker that I really admire and what you want. I am in a blessed position.
“And to work with Colin Farrell again – I know I’m not with Colin in that scene, but it throws it too … Zoë, Rob, everything.”
The role of the goalGhan may not be surprising for some fans, as before leaked by his own brother – while an international trailer was very unraveled on the appearance of the Joker.
However, Reeves has revealed that the scene he was formapy with the actor as police Stanley Merkel was a deliberate trick to hide his true character.
“When you go to the cinema, you want a surprise level,” he told IGN. “I think one of the things I was worried was speculation when we made a film, that we would explore the characters we finally browse. So we started thinking about what we could to throw away the people from the scent.
“The idea of making him Stanley Merkel is exactly like that, because the police are actually a big part of the story so that it looks credible that we can do that.”
The Batman is out now in cinemas.
