Gehraiyaan Movie Review: Script Analysis

Back on that day, Director of Shakun Batra Kapoor & Sons beautifully dissected the medium-class family drama on dysfunctional and we all lost reason. While diving into Gehrayaan, I can only tell how even though the ‘class difference’, I have been a little of every batra character written with Ayesha Devitre, Sumit Roy & Yash Sahai. I have become a person who is too loved in his life, has been used as a doormat by many people, has also taken these important people. That’s where the beauty of this script lies in me, even if you can’t connect with characters, overall, you can find a little about them.

I also understand why many people don’t connect with this emotional core of this one, will call it the ‘Dialog-heavy’ movie, ‘slow’ because this doesn’t give you whatever you ask from the menu, it presents an affair fairy tale sprinkled with a lot of depression, and It is a dish that doesn’t want to party. But for romantic suckers who are without hope like me, this witnesses life like a smooth mosaic consisting of four destroyed people, with chaotic parenting they play an important role in doing so. From Deepa Mehta in Arth to Ritesh Batra in the lunch box, we have seen writers who explore infidelity and batra to try their hands with beautiful weaving chaos caused in their interlocking personal life.

Kamerawork Kaushal Shah lay to be a bridge for us to walk to all Chief Character & Heart. He played a lot around (extreme) a close-up shot which only appeared to catch character emotions. I followed up to 12 for how many times we saw the waves crashing to describe ‘gehrayaan’ (and, yes the waves became bigger because the conflict entered deeper) but then lost the count. The editor of the consistency of Nitesh Bhatia in transcribing Walter’s scenario slightly in the second half when the film began to feel long at that time, but it was also because of the choice of questionable Batra to treat his developed character.

Gehraiyaan Movie Review: Direction, Music

Only with the three films, Shakun Batra has created confidence in me no other director who can in a short time. He not only understood the emotions that supported his character but also a master to execute them. Relying on ambient sounds (such as traffic noise, crowded waves clashes etc.), he has skilled himself to set tension on the screen. With this one, the batra decides to dive as deep as possible to present the character without any filter because they are all naked in front of you one layer at a time.

Off, the background score of Savera and melancholy like batra vision while writing a bleak life of these four very different people. As mentioned, BGM just joins around well so you don’t even realize it’s gone. Doobey perfectly does the work compiled to sprinkle chemistry SE * Y between Zain & Alisha. The song title is almost stomached as an expanded dialogue with what is communicated to communicate without saying anything.

Gehraiyaan Movie Review: The Last Word

All said and done, I don’t remember the last time the movie title did so much justice for the story. It just sinks you so deep to the point where you might feel short of breath, but it’s all worth it.
