All those who have been noticing my work from so far, you must know, I always write something about gemstones and their beliefs. Everything has its own pre-story. This time I am writing for a rose cut diamond. It is a well-known and very accepted in personal trinkets. They are somewhere mulling over as traditional and old-fashioned and one of the top most original cuts of heirloom.

This beautiful and striking gemstone bears a resemblance to the petals of a rose by trying to emulate the narrowing  twirl of the petals, due to this the name originates, that is, rose cut diamond. Basically, they are plane at the underneath which tends to create a larger surface area for the gem’s brightness or gleam.

By the time of 1900s, with the enhancement of advanced cutting method, the unfashionable rose cut had replaced its image with a brilliant and shiny coat. As many people prefer the traditional cut for their engagement rings, round or radiant cut diamonds do possess their shine and sparkle; however nothing is compared with the beauty of rose cut diamond ring.

Roses are the symbol of love, and it is assumed that rose cut ring when enfolded around the fraction of the body then it connects you directly with the heart. That’s the reason of its being a most demanding choice amongst the people for engagement rings. But, the only advantage brilliant cut is carrying is that; the round shape is a true sign of never ending love.

From the ages, we have seen the rose cut diamond in the market. A hundred years ago, Tiffany came up with the initial rose cut solitaire setting. The ring was made of an unlock mount, because it helps in emitting the light, so that it could excel through the gem and proffer an improved astonish effect.

In the recent times, I have seen a tremendous growth in the sale of rose cut. The celebs are inclining towards these rings. The colored diamonds in a rose cut setting is also a new fashion, the beautiful pink, yellow, green color of diamonds gives it a classy and stylish look. Personally, I adore this kind of settings and arrangements in designing of a rose cut diamond ring. What about you?

The perfect rose cut is hard to find, as till date, there are only few shears that cut them together with Briolette and pastoral cut diamonds. Many a times, a rose cut diamond is cut too thin that it won’t be able to set in a ring.   It may work in a pendant or earring, but not for rings. The perfect cut will make it ideal for ring setting.
