Killing Eve and Grey’s Anatomy star’s new Pixar movie gets rave first reactions

The latest Pixar spinning red film is only a few weeks away from the release of Disney +, and it looks like an extraordinary film from the Wizards animation.

The film focused on a teenage girl named Mei Lee (voiced by the newcomer Rosalie Chiang) and her relationship with her arrogant mother (voiced by killing Eve and Gray’s Anatomy Legend Sandra Oh).

It makes it difficult for his typical teenage misery is the fact that, when he was angry or embarrassed, he didn’t get red flushes – he turned into a big red panda!

Red spin is a long directorial debut feature from Domee Shi, which directs the beautiful short Bao displayed in theaters before Incredibles 2.

Seeing the first reaction of various critics, including Gaiserla Geisinger SPY digital itself, this film does a fantastic job to warm the heart and catch how it feels to grow in Chinese-Canadian households. Rosalie Chiang was also chosen for a star making show.

The film is set in the early 2000s, and what is more important for a teenage girl in the early 2000s than Boybands? Play the red tap into it, and none other than Billie Eilish and his brother Finneas gave songs.

“We need our character in May obsessed with something that his mother won’t approve,” Shi said. “Boybands are the first step to the world of boys for many girls that age.

“Those people are all super beautiful, polished, soft and loving, and they have a way to bring their daughters and unity together. Plus, I think it will be very cool to make a animated boy band.”

Meanwhile, the singer and coach Voice UK Anne-Marie have recorded a special cameo for the English version.

Turning Red premieres exclusively on Disney+ from March 11, 2022.
