Childhood

Jennifer Ellen Chan was born on September 16, 1958, at Harbor City in Los Angeles, California. His father was Harry Chan, a used car seller. His mother, Patricia, was a stage actor who later became a teacher. Through his parents, Jennifer has mixed China, finished, and Irish ancestors. Jennifer has three siblings, Steve’s brother and two young sisters, Meg and Rebecca. When he was five years old, his parents divorced and his mother remarried John Ward. They moved to Texada Island in British Columbia. Eleven years later, his mother divorced again and the family moved to Victoria. Jennifer attended the Belmont High School there. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at Stephens College in Missouri, where he got a bachelor’s degree in the theater.

Acting Career

Jennifer began her career with two small roles on TV shows Oh Madelina and Boone and films no small business. The first professional role is on TV Show Hill Street Blues in 1983. He played Gina Srignoli, a widow of Mobster who fell in love with Henry Goldblume police detective. He appeared in five episodes. He then played Pearson Temple, a crane fracier girlfriend in Cheers and Frasier. In 1989, he played with Richard Dreyfuss in releasing it. Breakthrough is the film The Fabulous Baker Boys, where he plays the waiter singing Blanche “Monica” Moran. Steve Kloves wrote Blanche’s role specifically with Jennifer’s mind. The role of a bad actress in the bullet above Broadway, directed by Woody Allen, brought it a nomination for the Academy Award for the best supporting actress, but the award went to Dianne Wiest, her playing star in the film. In 1994, he appeared on vacation with Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger.
